Programme overview
The IPC-7711/IPC-7721 "Rework of Electronic Assemblies/Repair and Modification of Printed Boards and Electronic Assemblies" modular programme defines tools, materials, methods and process goals and guidelines associated with rework and repair of surface mount and through-hole assemblies. The standards emphasise performance specification for the chosen technology plus information on the rework, repair and modification of PCBs and assemblies. When used together, these documents should lead both manufacturer and customer to consistent terms of acceptability.
